AIR-MONITORING FOR ASBESTOS REMOVAl JOBS
​Our Licenced Asbestos Assessor participates in the the National Asbestos Program (NAP) for fibre counting proficiency, designed to ensure:

Organisations that do participate in the NAP for fibre counting proficiency can ensure that their employees are properly trained and competent to perform asbestos air sample analysis. This helps to ensure the accuracy of the results and ultimately helps to protect workers and the public from exposure to asbestos fibers.
ASBESTOS SURVEYS AND MANAGEMENT PLANS
In Queensland, asbestos management is governed by the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011, which outlines the requirements for asbestos registers and management plans.
1. Asbestos Register:
The Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 requires that all workplaces constructed before 31 December 2003 must have an Asbestos Register and update that register at least every 5 years. The Asbestos Register should identify any asbestos-containing material (ACM) within the workplace, including its location, condition, and type.
2. Asbestos Management Plan:
An Asbestos Management Plan must be prepared when asbestos is present or is presumed to be present. It should include information on how the asbestos is going to be managed to minimize risk to occupants, maintenance personnel, contractors, and others on-site. The Asbestos Management Plan includes:
The Asbestos Management Plan must be reviewed and updated periodically to ensure that it remains effective in managing the risk of asbestos exposure. It's essential to keep the Asbestos Register and Asbestos Management Plan up-to-date to comply with Queensland legislation, ensure that workers and occupants are safe from exposure to asbestos, and avoid legal liability.
